The relationships between art, science, and technology take many forms, and it is increasingly urgent and essential to foster their prosperity. With the aim of exploring the potential of these hybridizations and seeking new ways to promote them, Hac Te and Sónar+D present a program of debates, artistic works, and presentations.

One of the highlights of the program will be the Open Forum on Art, Science, and Technology (Thursday, 15th, from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm at SonarÀgora), which will bring together different communities to share ideas, experiences, and success stories.

Following that, starting at 1 pm, two nationwide projects will be presented: the recently created ACTS Network, a shared network of artists, researchers, and institutions, and the update of the White Book on the interrelation between Art, Science, and Technology in the Spanish State by the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT).

In parallel, during the three days of Sónar+D, the Project Area will host different artworks and installations from Hac Te partner institutions, such as the Barcelona Institute for Biomedical Research (IRB Barcelona) – one of the centers that make up the Barcelona Institute of Science and Technology (BIST) community – or the NewArtFoundation. These exemplify the potential of co-creations between artists, scientists, and technologists while positioning Barcelona as an international hub in this field. In this same space, a series of four video capsules produced by Hac Te will be showcased, reflecting on collaborations between artists, scientists, and technologists; how we face transdisciplinary challenges; the digital art ecosystem in Catalonia, and the social and economic impact of digital culture.

At the Stage+D, einidea will present the performance “TURBULENCE AT BLACK BAY GRENADA” by British artist Gaika, and the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) will showcase their collaboration with the P studio.
